Inactive Volcano by Rebecca Varghese

I am an inactive volcano,

From the outside, I am cold, stone-hearted and unmalleable,

From the inside I am a melting pot of emotions,

Anger, sadness, joy, hurt, and insecurity,

People say I should never erupt,

They said that erupting would damage the milieu,

Therefore I bottle my feelings in,

My magma stirring away inside me,

One day I will erupt,

Until then,

I am an inactive volcano
