“Biracial Family” by Jaidyn Cochran

About the Author

I am a white-looking biracial. I am half white and half Japanese; however, people seem to only identify me as white. My sister looks different, she has my mothers Japanese characteristics. When growing up in a predominantly white neighborhood the kids would pick on my sister for not looking like them. When I was a child I didn’t understand, but as we grew up I uncovered the reason.
